ABOUT

For as long as I can remember I have always had a fascination for performance. I started designing and making dresses for my dolls at an early age. Later making costumes to realise my visions as a dancer. I was initially self-taught. After moving to London my interest in stage costume grew and I started looking for work experiences in theatre. I have found that when you put people in costume it actually frees them; they are able to hide behind a mask and therefore show another side of themselves.

I am eager to put my skills to work in different productions. I am a Wimbledon College of Arts graduate awarded with a BA in Costume Interpretation for Theatre and Film. As a costume maker I create character costumes coordinating the design process for multiple brands - from concept sketches to final production. I also enjoy taking on Production Manager duties and have been an Assistant Tour Manager with the Horne Section. I have collaborated with  companies such as Jacksons Lane, Alexandra Palace, Chocolate Films. I was costume designer for 'Beauty and the Beast' play at the Omnibus Theatre July 2018 and I did my work experience with Her Majesty's Theatre 'Phantom of the Opera' in 2012.

My work experience has given me a broad understanding of the industry. Freelancing has given me the opportunity to work for many different individuals. The most important skill I pride myself on is that I am resourceful and an avid self starter. I pride myself on excelling at any task and having the ability to wear many hats. My experience has taught me the importance of being proactive and adapt as situations arise. I have learnt that work can be so rewarding when I can juggle multiple projects and anticipate needs before they become problems- that is when I am at my best.
